Abstract
Observations were made on the interrelationships between hepatic histology obtained by needle biopsy and cholecystography by Telepaque, in 35 cases of icteric and anicteric hepatitis. The results were as follows:
In all cases of intrahepatic cholestases, even mild, severe hepatocellular damage, and severe bile ductular reaction, there were no gallbladder visualizations.
In the groups with moderate hepatocellular damage, moderate ductular reaction, and severe ¢¥portal infiltration, the gallbladders were not visualized in about half of each group.
The gallbladders were visualized in most of the cases which showed minimal hepatocellular dahmage, minimal ductular reaction, and moderate portal inflammation.
